This section gathers AGAMI's chronology, from its origins to today. It is a living memory, updated over time: each milestone states its source where one is publicly available and, where documentary evidence has yet to be obtained, the text declares it as the Association's own account.

    Kaoutar Badrane graduates in Law: the first woman of Moroccan origin to graduate in Law in Italy.

    Foundation

    Rabat — The proposal for a network

    According to the Association's own account, at an international meeting in Rabat devoted to Moroccan skills resident abroad, Kaoutar Badrane, then a trainee lawyer, proposed the creation of an international network of jurists and lawyers of Moroccan origin active in their respective countries of residence. This is the original nucleus of the AGAMI project. The meeting is not documented by any publicly available source.

    Foundation

    Foundation of AGAMI

    AGAMI is officially established in Italy as the first association of lawyers of Moroccan origin on Italian territory, to promote legal dialogue between Italy and Morocco and the protection of rights.

    Research and publications

    Publication «The Family Code in Morocco»

    Kaoutar Badrane's monograph «The Family Code in Morocco (Mudawwana al-'usra)» (libreriauniversitaria.it edizioni) is published, one of the first Italian works dedicated to the Moroccan Family Code.

    Recognitions

    Royal Palace — Feast of the Throne

    According to the testimony published by the University of Trento, Kaoutar Badrane received a special invitation to the Royal Palace on the occasion of the Feast of the Throne. The event is not documented by any other publicly available source.

    Events and conferences

    Conference «Women's Rights» and the establishment of the Italy-Morocco Commission

    On 11 March 2017, in Bassano del Grappa (Villa Ca' Rezzonico), the international Conference «Women's Rights – Towards Intercultural Legal Comparison» launches the Italian-Moroccan study Commission on family law.

    AGAMI takes part in the 37th ordinary session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, in Geneva, presenting its project for a legal guide on women's rights.

    Inauguration of the Listening and Guidance Desk

    On 27 April 2023 AGAMI inaugurates in Vicenza the first Listening and Guidance Desk addressed to foreign and Italian women.

    Rome Bar Association — «Mattei Plan for Africa»

    On 20 May 2024, from 15:30 to 17:30, the conference «Piano Mattei per l'Africa: il rispetto della legalità, la tutela dei diritti e il ruolo degli avvocati» is held in the Aula Avvocati of the Rome Courthouse. The Rome Bar Association grants 3 ordinary training credits (council resolution of 2 May 2024).

    Brussels — «From entry to inclusion»

    On 23 February 2026, at the European Parliament in Brussels, the round table «Dall'ingresso all'inclusione: percorsi giuridici e digitali di accesso in Italia e nell'Unione europea» is held, promoted by the Immigration Observatory of the Rete Nazionale Forense and coordinated by Kaoutar Badrane. The Association's work takes on a European dimension.

  8. 2026 8 May

    Networks and cooperation

    Palermo — MEDIEDIL, the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra delegation

    From 8 to 10 May 2026, at the MEDIEDIL trade fair in Palermo, Kaoutar Badrane, President of AGAMI, coordinates the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Region, led by its President Hassan Sakhi and Vice-President Houssine Talmoust, fostering B2B meetings and relations between Italian and Moroccan economic operators.

    On 19 June 2026, in Bassano del Grappa, AGAMI promotes an international round table on immigration law, devoted to comparing European models, security, integration and effectiveness, with international online links.

    Verona — The PASSERELLES project and the Moroccan diaspora

    In July 2026 AGAMI takes part in Verona in the training day of the PASSERELLES project, promoted by Progettomondo with CEFA and Migration & Développement and co-financed by the European Union, devoted to the network of Moroccan diaspora associations in Italy, France and Belgium.

    Networks and cooperation

    Belluno — ULSS 1 Dolomiti Technical Co-Design Board

    On 28 August 2026 the ULSS 1 Dolomiti Health Authority notified AGAMI of its admission to the Technical Co-Design Board provided for by Article 55 of the Third Sector Code, within the pilot initiative for strengthening the network of Family Centres of the Public Family Counselling Services (Regional Decree no. 201/2026). The sessions are scheduled in Belluno on 7 and 8 September 2026.
