A contribution to legal knowledge and to dialogue between the shores of the Mediterranean

AGAMI promotes research, training and international cooperation thanks to the contribution of professionals, organizations and supporters who share its mission. The Association can be supported through:

Charitable contributions to AGAMI APS, as a Third Sector Entity, may qualify for the tax benefits provided for by current legislation (Art. 83 of Legislative Decree No. 117/2017).

Tax benefits

Giving brings tax benefits too

Tax credit or deduction

For individuals, voluntary monetary donations in favour of Third Sector entities give rise, on an alternative basis, either to a tax credit against IRPEF (personal income tax) equal to 30% of the amount donated, or to a deduction from total income within the limits set by law (art. 83 of D.Lgs. 117/2017).

The two benefits cannot be combined for the same donation. To claim them, the payment must be made by traceable means (bank transfer, cards, etc.).

5 per mille

When filing a tax return, it is possible to allocate a share equal to 0.5% of IRPEF (personal income tax) — the «5 per mille» — to a beneficiary entity, at no cost to the taxpayer. Eligible beneficiaries include Third Sector entities registered with the RUNTS and listed by the Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate).

Tax code for the 5 per mille: to be published

This information is of a general nature and is based on the legislation in force; for your specific situation we recommend checking with a professional or with the Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate). Keep the payment receipt for the purposes of the tax benefits.
